HVAC Sales and Marketing Representative

Job Summary

The HVAC sales and marketing representative will be responsible for implementing the set sales objectives for our Heating, Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, and Ventilation Engineering Services to potential clients across East and Central Africa and managing existing accounts. S/he will proactively participate in the sales process, generate new business leads, maintain existing accounts, and ensure aftersales services are provided in a timely and effective manner.

S/he should be personable, self-driven, demonstrate confidence, passion, takes pride in closing deals, is well networked, and have experience selling HVAC products and services. Should also have the technical understanding of the engineering fundamentals and HVAC concepts, operations, and ability to communicate complex information to customers.

Responsibilities

Participates in marketing events, such as tradeshows and tabletop show as needed

Conducts online research and leads prospecting as needed 

Plans and drives all product promotions strategy of the company

Works collaboratively across departments to ensure the implementation of integrated strategies

Monitors and reports goals and insights to clients through email, phone calls, and face-to-face meetings

Interacts daily with clients following the organization customer service standards

Works closely with product teams to help drive the near- and long-term product roadmap

Creates product positioning and messaging for online and digital marketing products, services, and solutions where applicable

Partners with the organizations corporate marketing team to launch content campaigns designed to drive and measure leads and increase brand awareness

Helping to turn-key customers into references by establishing and developing relationships with them.

Make sure to achieve Monthly Sales targets.

Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs 

Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, walk-ins, networking, and social media Set up meetings with potential clients and listen to their wishes and concerns 

Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on services Create frequent reviews and reports with sales and financial data 

Negotiate/close deals and handle complaints or objections 

Collaborate with team members to achieve better results 

Gather feedback from customers or prospects and share it with internal teams

 

Reporting

  • Enter and regularly update correct and accurate customer details and information on the sales CRM system
  • Generate weekly and monthly sales reports to discuss with the Director to help make informed decisions and appraise performance.

After-sales and support

  • Ensure provision of quality service and support to all our clients from site survey, delivery,  and technical advice, and after-sales service.
  • Regular follow-up on current customers on their maintenance and support needs and ensure timely delivery of the same.
  • Build and maintain positive work relationships with clients to create a rapport that fosters customer loyalty and generates aftersales revenue.
  • Carefully handle customer complaints with an aim to maintain and guard the company’s reputation
  • Community aftersales support to potential and existing customers.

 

Knowledge, specifically needed for the position

  • Technical capability to understand and interpret HVAC engineering system, services, and operations
  • Extensive knowledge of HVAC products, services, and systems
  • Ability to create customer relationships especially at the C-suite level
  • Great presentations skills to potential clients
  • Good networking skills 
  • Must come on board with a good number of clientele base especially in the HVAC Industry
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
  • Must work under pressure hence will be able to work on set sales targets.
  • Must be very aggressive with the right attitude
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to communicate complex information and interpretation of the HVAC products and services to customers
  • Willingness to travel frequently for customer visits and project management
  • Accurate data-driven reports of competition as well as customer profiles
  • Ability to prospect, negotiate and convince a client to purchase
  • Ability to achieve monthly sales targets
  • Ability to use CRM as a tool for reporting

 

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Sales Executive or relevant role
  • Relevant certification in Sales and Marketing (diploma or degree)
  • Proven experience in selling HVAC engineering products and services is an added advantage
  • Clear geographical understanding of Kenya, East, and Central Africa
  • Previous experience as an HVAC sales representative in the same industry is an added advantage
  • Proven record of exceeding sales target
  • Proactive, self-driven, and result-oriented individual
  • Good organization, planning, analytical skills, and ability to work independently as well as in a team.
