Our client is a company based in Nairobi dealing with medical equipment and hospital supplies is currently looking forward to hiring a human resource officer to oversee all aspects of Human Resources practices and processes. The HR officer will support business needs and ensure the proper implementation of company objectives. The human resource officer is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level.
Be the first point of contact for all HR related queries and concerns.
. Administer various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel.
. Conduct recruitment efforts for all labor requirements and effect the employment contract.
. Ensure all new entrants are properly inducted and trained in all policies, rules and regulations of the company.
. Managing and updating contract renewal, evaluation and probation Management of staff attendance and leave Management of employee relations including employees disciplinary issues, grievance and conflict and document the evidence.
. Management of employee’s welfare committees, Gender committees, Union, Health and Safety and any other committees in the company.
. Preparation of the payroll for the company ensuring regulatory and legislative compliance.
. Maintenance of management information system both manual and computerized Filling and achieving all the HR documents and ensuring high integrity of personnel data record.
. Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars.
. Maintain company organization charts and the employee directory.
. Maintain compliance with government and other state regulations concerning employment.
. Timely preparation of periodic HR reports.
. Carry out clearance of the exiting employees by conducting exit interviews and updating management on the exits.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or in Business Administration, Arts (Human Resource Management option).
. 0ver 3 years progressive experience as a Human Resource Officer in a busy environment.
. Knowledge of understanding and application of Labor Laws.
. Good communication skills Good industrial relations skills Leadership and supervisory skills
. Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.
