About the Role:

Inlaks is building out its Financial Business team and is looking for  a goal-oriented channel partner manager for winning, maintaining, and expanding all their partner relationships within Eastern and Southern Africa. In this role, you will develop a deep understanding of their solutions, market and competition to drive winning commercial partnerships.

The incumbent will be responsible for identifying and selling ATM vending machines to new prospects while maintaining relationships with existing clients to ensure the growth of the customer base. You will be supporting the company’s ongoing sales and growth opportunities by providing channel sales support to a region or portfolio of assigned partners or customers.

You will also be required to work with the technical engineering team whenever a customer needs customized products or services.

Responsibilities

Components of the role:

 

 

  • Relationship Building: You will be responsible for cultivating meaningful relationships with partners by understanding their individual goals and helping to find mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Sales Planning and Closing: You will be required to understand the customer and business needs to cross-sell and up-sell the company’s products. This involves managing funnels, forecasts, and seizing sales opportunities.
  • Service Performance: You will be tasked with accessing, clarifying and validating partner needs and performances at regular intervals and maintaining a high partner satisfaction rate. You will act as a bridge for communication between the customers/ partners and the engineering team.
  • Solution Development: You will be tasked with leading solution development efforts that best address end-user needs while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company and partner personnel.  
  • Proposal Design and Development: You will be required to proactively lead the joint partner planning processes that develop mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive partner relationship.
  • Innovation and Creativity: You will be looking for opportunities to improve personal and Inlak’s performance, rethinking how to approach work and products to enable the business to effectively bring the product(s) and feature(s) to market through the engagement of highly cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, marketing, operations, etc.

 

About You:  

  • You have extensive sales experience selling ATM’s across Africa.
  • You are passionate about providing a positive customer engagement and experience at every interaction.
  • You have a multiple product sales background with a high degree of market and industry knowledge in ICT in the financial and non-financial sectors.
  • You have built key industry contacts and knowledge.
  • You are analytical, detail-oriented and are willing to take risks and bold steps in order to advance commercial objectives.
  • Your experience has allowed you to penetrate new accounts and walk your way to decision-makers.
  • Prior BD experience in East Africa, Zambia, Malawi and/or countries within the Sub-Saharan region would be an added plus.
  • You are willing to travel to perform other functions as assigned and consistent with status or vocational ability.
